Dining Policies

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your own tables when finished eating.
  • Please do not remove food, dishes, glasses or utensils from the Dining Commons.
  • Meal cards (student ID's) are nontransferable. Do not lend them to anyone, or borrow one from someone else.
  • You must present your card for validation at each meal. Meals will not be given without a valid meal card.
  • Take valuables with you, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

A Plan For You!

Meal Plans

College life can be stressful, finding time to eat shouldn't be. We have designed the following meal plans to meet your campus dining needs. Whether you're on the go and in the need of a quick snack, or in the mood to sit down, relax, and enjoy a full meal, we have just what you're looking for. As a part of the Carthage Residency Program, a basic meal plan is provided to each residential student.

A Block Meal Plan allows a student the preferred way to eat a well-balanced all-you-can-eat meal in any given week. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Saturday and brunch and dinner on Sundays. These meal plans are redeemable in all dining areas. This is a risk free program as all unused bonus meals are refunded at the end of the academic year.

Every student is issued a Student ID, which allows you access to the Dining Commons and purchasing power at all of our retail locations.

Here is how your meal plan works:

Dining Commons – Have your card swiped at the door and dig in!  The Dining commons offers all you care to eat for one swipe.

The Meal Plan

Each residential student will receive a total of 2,100 points during the academic year. Each point represents a dollar in purchasing power at any of our food service venues.

Each week 50 points will be added to a residential student ID card. The weekly points can only be used during the week that they are added to the ID card. An additional 450 non-refundable flexible points will be available at the beginning of the academic year that can be used any time during academic year.

Listed below are two examples that explain the board plan:

Student A purchases 60 points ($60) of campus food during the first week on campus. At the end of the week, this student till have spent her 50 weekly point and 10 of her annual
450 flexible points. She starts the second week with 50 new weekly points and
440 flexible points.

Student B purchases 45 ($45) points of campus food during the first week on campus.
At the beginning of the second week, this student will receive 50 new weekly points,
and she will still have 450 flexible points that can be used at any time during the year.

Under the new plan, students will be able to buy additional flexible points
during the academic year. Additional points can be purchased in blocks of
50 (at a cost of $50) and will be refunded at the end of the academic year if unused.
